The Public Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDC) participated in the workshop organized by the Department of Statistics in collaboration with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme on applying the degree of urbanization. The workshop, attended by a number of experts and specialists, is part of the second phase of the project to assess the feasibility of applying a global definition of cities/urban areas to support global monitoring of sustainable development goals and urban targets of the new urban agenda. The project aims in this phase to calculate the indicators.

This workshop was held to provide a good opportunity for exchanging knowledge and experiences regarding best practices, as HUDC begins preparing the upcoming report for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the progress made in implementing the New Urban Agenda.
