An unannounced field visit was conducted to inspect work progress and assess the effectiveness of the procedures being followed to remove boilers that had been out of service for long periods. It is worth noting that the corporation has resolved a problem that residents had been suffering from for years. These boilers had been decommissioned and had become a health, environmental, and social nuisance, with some posing a threat to public safety.

The corporation established a regulated mechanism for their removal through joint committees involving the Ministry of Interior, Greater Amman Municipality, and Civil Defense. Eng. Jumana Attyat, Director General of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDC), instructed that all public safety requirements be observed, that the work be completed promptly within one week, and that the committees remain present to collect feedback.
